Procedural Stylized Low Poly Boat Trip with a Looping Sea Floor – The Boat Journey.
This was another personal experimental project using geometry nodes. The scene is made up of two parts the sea and the sea floor, each has there own geometry node trees They are generated using looping textures and the assets are scattered using textures and proximity nodes.
For example, where the rock formations are the kelp will not grow and when the rock formations poke out of the sea the barnacles stop appearing and the seagulls and water foam start appearing. This process was a lot of fun and I did get a bit carried away. I just couldn’t stop adding to the scene.
One thing that is bugging me is the barnacles never showed up on the bottom of the boat for the animation, it took 9 hours to render so I don’t fancy starting that again.
